Platter No. 4 - This Traditional 23"Long PARROT FISH PLATTER with a 3" deep bowl area was handcarved from one piece of very dense local hardwood (IFILELE tree wood) so is VERY heavy in weight. Large pieces of this Ifilele wood are becoming increasingly hard to get as the trees are very slow growing. It has the traditional, dark luster patina from burying it in mud for a considerable time before the design is carved and then polishing it with a pig's tooth. It has very detailed carved designs on the top and both sides with a lovely grain to the wood on the inside of the platter's deep bowl areas. This Fish Platter measures 23" long, 8--1/2" wide at its widest point and 3" deep in the middle.

Platter No. 5 - This 17" Wide Handcarved Platter was crafted from one piece of dense hardwood (IFILELE tree wood) so is heavy. It has the traditional, dark luster patina from burying it in mud for a considerable time before the design is carved and then polishing it with a pig's tooth. It has very detailed carved designs around the edge and a lovely grain to the wood on the center of the platter. This Platter measures 17" wide.

Platter No. 6 - SEA TURTLE PLATTER - This is a UNIQUE Handcarved Hardwood 18" Platter in the shape of a SEA TURTLE. It was handcarved from one piece of very dense local hardwood (IFILELE tree wood) so is VERY heavy in weight. Large pieces of this Ifilele wood are becoming increasingly hard to get as the trees are very slow growing. The carved designs are very detailed. It has the traditional, dark luster patina from burying it in mangrove mud and then polishing it with a pig's tooth. Has a lovely grain to the wood on the inside of the bowl area. This turtle bowl measures 18" x 11-1/2".
