This club is a finely carved/finished/detailed Traditional Samoan Toothed War Club called a NIFO OTI (in the Samoan language) or Teeth of Death. The Nifo Oti club was unique to Samoa in Olden Times. Nowadays, this club is used in the Tausala Samoa and Taupou Samoa dances for the official entertainment to show the pride in the Samoan culture. It was made from the local ironwood tree (Ifilele) and is therefore very heavy in weight. It has very fine & skillfully done handcarved authentic traditional designs on both sides. The dark color comes from being placed in mangrove mud for a few days before carving the designs on it. There is a sennet wrap on the handle, which is handmade 3-strand braided coconut fiber.
For Smaller Sizes check the 24" to 30" Page Here and Under 23" Page Here.
Price: This 36" club is $100.00 plus shipping.
