This lovely Multi-legged
Tanoa/Bowl was handcarved from one piece of very dense local hardwood.
This type of many-legged tanoa is unique to the Country of Samoa. These tanoas
have a beautiful grain pattern to the wood on the inside of the bowl which
was handpolished with a pig's tooth in the traditional way. The carved designs
around the side is very detailed.
This design of tanoa is made only in 3 sizes which are 11", 9"
and 6" and they are in the photos below in that order.
