SAMOAN WAR CLUB 24" ON SALE
This
is a finely carved/finished/detailed Samoan Toothed War Clubs called a TALAVALU
(in the Samoan language). Made from the local ironwood tree (Ifilele) and therefore
heavy in weight. Has very fine and skillfully done handcarved authentic traditional
designs on both sides. The dark color is from being placed in mangrove mud for
a few days before carving the designs. There is a sennet wrap near the end of
the handle, which is handmade 3-strand braided coconut fiber. THIS 24"
